Alison joined the Clinicenta Senior Management Team at the beginning of March 2007 to lead the development and implementation of the marketing strategy during the bid and mobilisation phase of all Clinicenta projects. Alison will also seek to develop opportunities for innovation and improvement in partnership with Clinicenta colleagues, GPs, patients and commissioners.
Alison brings with her both clinical and managerial experience having qualified as a registered general nurse working clinically at Harefield Hospital in Middlesex before holding management positions in both operational and strategic planning posts.
Alison moved from Harefield in 1999 to Oxford Radcliffe Hospital where she became Deputy Divisional Director taking up an Acting Divisional Director post for 12 months prior to becoming Director of Service Improvement and Marketing in 2006.
In addition to successfully running a Division with an operating budget of over £100m, during her time in Oxford Alison led the production of business cases and the approval processes for new capital schemes; on behalf of Thames Valley Strategic Health Authority led an Improvement Programme work stream to pilot and develop a Single Point of Contact; and developed a Corporate Planning Tool for Oxfordshire PCT to inform the annual Local Delivery plan and prioritise service improvements and investment opportunities.
