Mary joined the Clinicenta Senior Management Team in June 2007 bringing with her both operational and nursing management experience. During her career, Mary has managed 3 hospitals in the independent sector and held the post as a Chief Nurse at St Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey. She has also held senior management positions at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington and Guy’s Hospital prior to joining St Peter’s Board.
Mary came to Clinicenta from the Healthcare Commission where she was the National Lead for the Independent Sector Treatment Centres (ISTC’s) Programme for 4 years. She has an in-depth knowledge of healthcare standards and associated regulatory framework, which Mary used to provide advice to internal staff, other regulators and healthcare organisations including the interpretation of regulations and developing guidance to underpin standards. During this time Mary met a wide variety of stakeholders and built up a network of colleagues throughout the healthcare industry.
Prior to managing the ISTC programme Mary worked on a portfolio of IH facilities for the National Care Standards Commission, and she worked as a Healthcare Consultant undertaking projects for East and West Surrey Health Authorities.
Mary’s role is to support Sir Jonathan Asbridge – Director of Nursing and Clinical Services and colleagues during the mobilisation phase of contracts and preparation for operational commencement.
