Clinicenta Hearing Aid Help, Advice and Support
My hearing aid doesn’t seem to be working?
- Check that your hearing aid is properly switched on
- Check that you have not switched it to the ‘T’ setting by mistake
- If you have a volume control, make sure the volume is at the correct level for you and not turned right down
- Check that the battery is in the right way round
- Try putting in a new battery
- Pull the tubing off the elbow of your hearing aid and blow through the tubing to remove any condensation that may have collected as this could be blocking the sound
- Check that the tubing is not squashed or split
- Check the ear mould for wax and make sure it is not blocked
What if I can’t sort the problem out myself?
If you are having problems with your hearing aid that you cannot sort out yourself, then the assistant audiologist or audiologist will be able to help you at a booked repair appointment.
We are working within the national Good Practice Guide in relation to your treatment. This means not only will you receive the best quality healthcare; you will also be able to access on-going assessments every 3 years. View the Good Practice Guide here.
